Mst. Akima Hosen Liza is a psychotherapist, ABA therapist, researcher, training facilitator, and educator with over 10 years of diverse professional experience in clinical, academic, and research settings.

She began her career as a psychologist in a private hospital in Dhaka, where she gained practical experience in therapy by providing counseling services, developing intervention plans, and maintaining case records. Later, she joined icddr,b, where she contributed to disability service mapping research and facilitated capacity development training for government and non-government service providers. In this role, she also supervised a team of health service providers and managed external stakeholder relationships.

Liza holds Master’s degrees in Psychology and Clinical Social Work. In 2022, she transitioned into academia as a lecturer at SKS School and College, where she designs and delivers lectures, conducts workshops, engages students in academic and co-curricular activities, and provides counseling to emotionally vulnerable students and parents. She has conducted multiple workshops on positive thinking, stress management, and self-care, promoting mental well-being and healthy relationships.
