faith Bangladesh invites applications from suitable candidates for the position of Clinical Speech and Language Therapist – under the project of ASICA with Clinical Services and Research Division. The appointment will be made on Fixed Term basis for 2 years, which is renewable depending on performance and availability of funds.
Duty station – Dhaka & Cumilla

Job Profile
Quality Service
- Establishes rapport with patient, caregiver(s) and facilitates participation in the speech and language therapy assessment and intervention process
- Makes a clinical judgment or diagnosis in relation to the nature and extent of speech, language and communication difficulties
- Interprets the assessment report to caregiver/ parents, mention the plan of management with possible outcomes
- Implements the Speech and Language Therapy intervention program based on assessment, interpretation and planning
- Continuously evaluates the efficacy of the therapy management plan and modifies it as appropriate
- Documents progress and changes in Speech and Language Therapy intervention
- Understands and recognizes the need to discharge/refer patient to other professionals in a timely and appropriate manner
- Uses and maintains an efficient information management system, including the use of information technology
- Makes use of current research, by evaluating and applying it, where appropriate in clinical practice
- Applies the principles of research and research methodology to improve clinical practice and academic career

- Understands the ethical and safety responsibilities of professional practice
- Recognizes the need within practice to respect and respond to culturally diverse communities (e.g. use of appropriate materials, contexts, access to interpreters etc.
- Communicates with patient/caregivers in a manner that is consistent with their level of understanding and cultural background in order to sustain positive working relationships and enable constructive outcomes to be achieved
- Maintains all aspects of patient/client confidentiality
- Develops and maintains effective working relationships within and outside organizations.

- Avails formal and/ or informal learning opportunities within SLT and multidisciplinary contexts to remain informed on contemporary clinical best practice
- Planning, delivering and evaluating education, training, and health promotion activities as appropriate.
Requirements:
Education and Relevant Experience:
- B.Sc in Speech and Language Therapy with completion of 1-year Internship from any reputed University/ Institution.
- Experience in working with Children having neuro-developmental disorders (e.g. ASD, CP etc) will be given preferences.
